Das Zeit Projekt
Selected international artists have created short multi-art pieces answering the question; What does time mean to you? These have been paired with other artists work and incorporated into this growing digital canvas.
TIME and its value confronts us with fundamental questions about life.
How do you perceive time ?
Was bedeutet Zeit für dich?
13 solo artists come together to make brand new pieces which are displayed here weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays and on social media platforms and digital festivals throughout 2020 and beyond

“How did it get so late so soon?”
Dr. Seuss
I've played with the colours and made the image look like a section of a comic book. I've then added the captions in a comic-style font. We move into the bowl of water during the chorus.
The sound of David's hands in the water is mixed in with the song and loud enough to hear during some of the quieter parts

Time III
Lionel, Isolte and Lila
I was working with the theme of division and unity which is mentioned throughout. Dividing the screen up, I used Isolte's choreography and the video Lila created of Isolte on the TV to bounce around to the beat of the music. Sometimes Isolte appears on the screen, sometimes the footage layers and sometimes it comes together.

Time IV
Tabitha and Lila
I used a very slow zoom-in to give us a chance to see the whole painting while Lila plays. Then, when we arrive at Tabitha, she begins to guide us through her process, as though we are hearing her thoughts as she looks at Athens. Lila's acoustic version of Bloom Lab is great here too, really nice fit and pace.

“Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.”
Kurt Vonnegut
'A mezmerizing shave!'. Rob said he would wait to shave his lockdown beard to film his time sequence. He masters the editing of the sequence and accomplishes turning a simple action into a mini meditation on time. I like how he stops to look at himself in the mirror, only to start again. Lila's electronic time contribution is perfect, like an exaggerated sound of the electric shaver,
"But this time.."

“The trouble is that you think you have time”
Buddha
Time VI
Soobie, Richard and Lila
I've made this look a little like a painting/old comic, Soobie already had some comic book-style dividers in her shots which made it look this way, so I pushed it further with the captions. I've made the colours quite sepia-ish so it's different to the others. I've used Richard's music and Lila's Bloom Lab walkie talkie piece which I think works well.

"Time is not a reality (hypostasis), but a concept (noêma) or a measure (metron)"
Antiphon the Sophist (5 BC)
'I've put this together like a little behind the scenes documentary, a montage showing the artist's process. I've added the In Between Spaces music remix that Richard sent, I think this gives the montage an engaging pace. I've cut Vivian's voiceover with the captions I think it's very nice (and very poetic!).

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once”
Albert Einstien

Time VIII
Zoe, Kate and Richard
For this one I used the in between spaces 'lines' and some bold colours. I layered the captions around the video. I think it makes it look a bit like a children's book which I find interesting. I think it suits Zoe's poetry too.
